Ringing records:Began ringing: 1897 Notable performances: Known throughout the exercise as an eminent composer, and it was in this field that he excelled. Many of his compositions bore the hall-mark of genius, and will last as long as the art of Change Ringing is practised. In 1914 he arranged fourteen Surprise Minor Methods to give seven complete 720's with a nequal number of changes in each method. Composed the first peal of spliced Cambridge & Superlative Surprise Major, also the first peal of spliced double Norwich and Plain Bob Major.
