Southwell and Nottingham Diocesan Guild
The name of the Southwell Diocese had been changed to the Southwell and Nottingham diocese in 2005. So the Southwell Diocesan Guild resolved to change its name to reflect the new name of the Diocese at its AGM in 2008. [Original research by Pat Halls, subsequently taken on by John Harrison.]
The AGM of the Midland Counties Association held on 7th April 1945 agreed the society should be divided into three separate societies – Derby, Leicester and Southwell – from 1 January 1946, to generate greater local interest and the advancement of ringing.
