| St. James' Society | So-called as its meetings were held at St. James Clerkenwell. Became the London County Association in 1903. | 1824 | 1902 | | | London County Association (1903-1928) | The LCA began life as the St. James Society in 1824 as its meetings were held at St. James Clerkenwell. After it expanded in 1903 it became known as the London County Association. It was wound up at a meeting in the crypt of St. Clement Danes on February 10th 2007. The Association began its life as the St James' Society in February 1824 which itself appears to have been derived from the earlier St James' Youths. Early meetings of the Society took place at St James, Clerkenwell. In 1903 it expanded to become known under its current title. Between 1929 and 1968 the name was expanded to the London County Association and North Southwark Diocesan Guild, before reverting to its former name in 1968.
