Notable performances: Fred rang at least five peals, one of which, Plain Bob Doubles on 17th March 1962, was in honour of his being elected President of the Irish Association. The peal of Grandsire Doubles which he rang on 18th September 1954 was the first peal on the bells at St. Mary, Doneraile.
