Notable performances: In 1946 he rang the 7th at Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford in the record peal of 12663 Stedman Cinques. In 1951 he rang in the then record peal of 25 Spliced Surprise Major at Dorchester Abbey, again ringing the 7th. He rang a total of 164 peals for the Oxford Society.
