On 15th December 1934 he rang a peal with all the band being named Thomas. He rang peals for the death of King George V and for the coronation of King George VI. On VE Day, May 8th 1945, he rang for a service for Members of Parliament at St Margaret's, Westminster. He rang a 'Fathers and Sons' peal of Surprise Maximus at Evesham in 1966.
