Society offices held: He was the Master of the Southern Branch of the Worcester & Districts Association 1957-1960. He was the instigator of bringing the Four Shires Guild, which had thrived before the war, back into existence in the early 1970s, becoming the first Secretary of the new Guild. Later he became President of the Four Shires Guild and during that time started very successful outings on one Thursday a month for the senior members of the Guild.
