Notable performances: In 1877 he rang in the first peal rung by University men when seven Oxford men with one Cambridge man rang a peal of Grandsire Triples at St. Laurence, Appleton, Berks, 10th March 1877 Gave two trebles to St. Mary the Virgin, Hadley in 1921. One as a memorial to his son, Capt. & Adjt. Alex Milne, Herts Regt. killed at St., Julien, 31st July 1917, and the other in memjory of his parents.
