Notable performances: 26th July 1884, Conducted his first peal, which was also the first peal on the bells, and the first peal by all the band. The eight bells were opened 23rd February 1884. Composer of a touch of 50 Stedman Caters rung by a nationally representative band at the Imperial Institute, London on the opening day, 10th May 1893, in the hearing of H.M. Queen Victoria.
