Ringing records:Began ringing: 1875 Notable performances: The Burton band rang a peal of 7200 Double Norwich Court Bob Major at Beeston on 18th November 1882 in which he took part. He rang in the first non-conducted peal of Stedman Triples, at St Paul's, Burton on Trent, on 20th November 1886. On November 8 th 1888 he conducted a peal of 6720 London Surprise Major by the Burton band. This was a record at that time. First peal: Treble Bob Major 06/11/1879 Total peals rung: 279 |
